Only Fire Brick of exceptional quality is used to manufacture Evenheat kilns. Standard 2 1/2" brick and one piece, stainless steel jacket construction provide superior insulating and structural qualities.

Heating Elements are more than simple coils of wire. Evenheat used a number of calculations to examine watt loading, stretch ratios, wire gauge and overall suitability of an element before the elements are produced using computer controlled tooling that precisely controls sizing and resistive parameters. And Evenheat uses on the finest Kanthal A-1 alloys for outstanding life and durability.

The most critical element of any kiln is the Control. It must be reliable, easy to use and most of al consistent. To satisfy these needs Evenheat offers the Dawson Kiln Sitter on the Classic series kilns and the automatic, computerized RampMaster II control on the RampMaster series. Quality and dependability of a kiln are determined, in large part, by the selection and use of electrical components . Evenheat understands the need for reliability and designs for it by selecting components that offer high reliability when exposed to the kiln environment and choose components with electrical and temperature ratings that far exceed the intended use. To further the life of your kiln, specially placed baffle plates and ventilated control panels are used which keep operating temperatures within acceptable ranges.

Nothing is more frustrating than realizing the kiln's plug does not match the receptacle. Evenheat's specifications give the NEMA configuration (style of receptacle) for each kiln. Click on the picture for complete information on NEMA receptacle configurations that Evenheat uses.

Look for the UL and CU/L agency marking on Classic and RampMaster II models. The U/L is recognized throughout the United States, the CU/L is recognized by Canadian authorities in all Provinces.

Stainless Steel or Deluxe Construction

Stainless Steel Construction
Stainless steel construction features high quality fire brick wrapped in a mirror finished, stainless steel jacket. This full length jacket provides protection for the fire brick while offering superior structural integrity.

While models built in this style are very capable of high firing, they best serve the low and ceramic ranges.

"Deluxe" construction
Deluxe construction features the same high quality fire brick and stainless steel jacket along with an additional 1" of block insulation (mineral wool) between the fire brick and stainless steel jacket.

Choose the Deluxe construction if high firing is in your plans. It offers greater energy efficiency, lower jacket temperatures and higher temperature potentials. Deluxe construction is available on selected models only

This chart is provided as a guide to the various electrical receptacles supplied with Evenheat kilns. Each model described in our website will identify one of the following types of power supply receptacles to be used with that model, except those which are identified as "direct wired".
